Southern Downs Regional Council undertook remedy works to bring renewed purpose to the Weeroona Park fountain.
When did this work take place?
Works occured from Tuesday 27 January 2026 and took approximately four weeks to complete.
What did works include?
We installed a new submersible waterspout in the upper fountain basin and modified the ground-level catchment basin into a garden bed.
As part of these works, we :
- Completed minor paint repair works.
- Modified the ground-level basin into a garden.
- Installed a new water feature to the upper basin.
- Undertook electrical repairs and upgrades.
- Repaired, cleaned, and restored the brick surround.
- Installed new uplighting within the garden bed.
- Restored the existing commemorative Ferris brass plaque.
